90 seconds or less...that's all we need nowadays to make our determinations about people's intent, character, and lifestyles. Asanta Foster is back with Jon to discuss this very pervasive approach of making broad conclusions based on narrow evidence. At the root of it is a lot of personal bias, lack of empathy, and narrow perspective. Can we approach a solution to this problem together with Christ at the center coupled with honesty? As we are in the Lenten season leading to Resurrection Sunday, Jon dives into John 1 where we can learn so much from John being an awesome steward of the God-given power and influence He has. His job was to prepare the way for the savior, not be the savior. It's easy to fall into the influence of culture that want's us to white-knuckle the reigns of our influence, position and life in general. Let's talk about the power of Jesus being the source and us embracing the power of being submitted to Him. All that we've been given - influence, career, talent, status, behavior, choices and resource should point the people we encounter to the Lamb that is Jesus! How are you pointing people to Christ today?

Grace and Truth is what Jesus is full of! This partnership is key to changing the hearts of people, which is far more powerful than coercion or convincing by argument. Character and empathy are important to Jesus....the way we treat others and methods we use to secure our lifestyle must reflect the character of Christ. Too many associate with Christ by words, but have no true connection that compels them to truly point people to Him by example. Truly a matter of the heart! Let's talk about it!

This week, Jon examines a matter of the heart. The Bible says where our treasure is, that's where our heart will be. In the climate of the US, what matters to people is at the forefront, for better or for worse. We dive into Matthew's account of the young rich ruler who desired something that everyone wants, but the priority of what was valuable to him was required. Let's take a journey inward and see if we can identify if the invaluable is more important than what we currently value!

We back family! It's been a minute! Sooooo....what's happened since our last episode? Jon experienced the loss of his Dad, a vital piece in his life, and in-turn gained a vital Peace in divine purpose! This got us to thinking: voids because of life's losses are inevitable, but how we fill those voids is our choice! Jesus gives us the opportunity to respond even in grief.
