概要

My name is Joseph Caddell, and this is Pieces of Film. Since the age of 12 I’ve been enamored with the world of movies and filmmaking and now I am beginning to take that obsession to new heights with this little show of mine.

Every once in a while, I will be diving into a specific film of choice, but with a bit of a twist. One of the driving factors for me making this show was that when listening to various inspirations, I noticed that many of those shows only looked into the movies as just one entity; so, I thought I’d create something that was entirely dedicated to delving into a specific aspect of the movie I’d cover. These aspects can include many things from cinematography, Editing, Sound Design, Score, Music Supervision and much more, and then to top things off I will then both rate the movie out of 100 based solely on the aspect covered. You can also see various short descriptions of my thoughts on the movie covered over on Letterboxd and find links to the particular episode in question. Additionally, you can also head over to the Show’s Instagram at PiecesofFilmClips to see various audio clips from each episode, and you can also suggest movies and aspects to be covered for an episode by simply leaving a suggestion in the comments of one of the clips uploaded to Instagram or on one of the short reviews on Letterboxd.

So, I hope that you find something interesting out of this show and perhaps also decide to come along on the ride with me and my guests as we explore what makes a movie.
