As we approach the 40th anniversary of James Cameron's seminal film, Aliens, the Perfect Organism Podcast Strategy Team sat down to record a kick off episode.

What we all agree on is that Aliens feels like home. It's the sequel that made the series into what it is today. Aliens endures because the characters endure. That's a testament to James Cameron's writing.

When physician Veronica Williams accidentally cross-contaminates her blood while treating a mysterious comatose boy brought to the colony under suspicious circumstances, she begins to suffer a rapid and unexplained biological breakdown. As Veronica’s condition worsens behind quarantine doors, her husband Nick and the colony’s medical team race to understand what has infected her and whether it can spread.

What begins as a medical emergency becomes something far more dangerous when they uncover evidence that the organism inside her is not a virus, but something evolving with purpose.
