• I Was Coaching Long Before I Claimed The Title
    2025/12/14

In this episode, I share how I came to recognize something that had been quietly unfolding for years.

Long before I ever called myself a coach, people kept finding their way into conversations with me — not looking for tactics or answers, but for clarity. For reflection. For permission to name what they already knew.

At the time, I dismissed it.
I believed coaching was something you did after you succeeded.
Something that required credentials, confidence, or permission you earned later in life.

But once things slowed down, a pattern became impossible to ignore.

    In this episode, I explore:

    • The recurring conversations I kept having without naming them
    • Why we often overlook our most natural gifts
    • The false belief that coaching comes “later” in life
    • What people are really seeking when they ask for guidance
    • Why recognition often comes before confidence

If people keep opening up to you…
If the same kinds of conversations keep finding you…
If you feel a quiet pull you haven’t quite named yet…

This conversation may help you see it more clearly.

This is Episode 3 in the Before I Called Myself a Coach series.

  • Walking Away From What Was Working (and Trusting What Came Next)
    2025/12/13

In this episode, I share what happened after I shut down the business I thought I would run for the next 30 years.

Closing the company wasn’t the hardest part.
    What followed was.

    The grief.
    The disorientation.
    The sudden loss of identity.
The question that echoed quietly: Who am I now?

For years, my sense of self was deeply tied to being a real estate investor.
It shaped my reputation, my relationships, and how I measured my worth.

Walking away meant letting that version of myself die — before I had any clarity about what was next.

    In this conversation, I explore:

    – The grief that hit after the relief
    – What it’s like when your identity feels like it evaporates overnight
    – Why the in-between season is so confronting and disorienting
    – The awakening of a deeper calling beneath the loss
    – How wellbeing and integrity became my anchors
    – The quiet, invisible steps that would later become the foundation of my work as a coach

If you’re in a season of letting go…
If you’re grieving an identity you once carried…
If you’re standing in that wide, uncertain space called what’s next

    This episode is for you.

This is Episode 2 in a series on the inner journey of becoming a guide — long before the title ever arrives.

    A Gentle Invitation

If this episode resonates and you’re feeling a quiet pull toward coaching or guiding others, I’m hosting a few free info sessions for people discerning that path.

  • When Success Stops Feeding Your Soul
    2025/12/12

When Success Stops Feeding Your Soul
    Before I Called Myself a Coach — Episode 1

There’s a moment in every high achiever’s life when the thing they worked so hard to build… stops feeding them.

On the outside, everything is “working.”
    But inside, something is starving.

In this episode, I share the true beginning of my coaching journey — long before I ever called myself a coach. It starts in my early twenties, building a rent-to-own investment company with my best friend. It was everything I once dreamed of: freedom, momentum, identity, possibility.

And yet, just as the business started to succeed, something deeper in me began to unravel.

    I talk about:

    • The quiet restlessness that success couldn’t solve
    • Trying to hype myself back into a life that no longer fit
    • The war within that forced me to tell the truth
    • Why admitting “I don’t care about this anymore” felt like peace
    • The grief of letting go of an identity I’d built for years
    • The first invisible steps toward the work I was truly meant to do

If you’ve ever found yourself succeeding on the outside while starving on the inside…
If something in you knows there’s more…
If you’re feeling the early tremors of reinvention…

This conversation will speak to you.

This is the origin story — where everything shifted, and where the real calling began.

  • We Are All Spiritual Beings | Brett Smith
    2021/02/11
Today's guest is Brett Smith. Brett (https://www.instagram.com/lokiandlulu/) is a vocalist, writer, and musician of the band, Smith & Dragoman. If you've never heard their music, I highly recommend you check them out. Their music transcends time and genres. With their layered and textured melodies, they embed profound stories aligned their faith as Baha'is and even connects with people beyond religion at a deeply spiritual level. I still remember the first time I met Brett. He was playing a solo acoustic set at a mutual friends home. And I remember as he played, my fiancee Janet and I kept looking at each other in awe. Brett radiated peace, joy, generosity, and love. And we were definitely moved by his performance and presence. You're likely to run into Brett at countless Zoom gatherings in the Baha'i community either sharing a prayerful song, delivering a talk on the role of creator/artist, or you might catch him mid-sparring session donning his gi and blackbelt in Karate! He's always cracking people up with his humour or sending people into deep thought with his observations, as he sips his coffee or is elbow deep in a bag of Smartfood. I've gotten to know Brett and his incredible family and must say they are a huge source of warmth and inspiration to both me and Janet. Brett is a husband, father, and someone whose become a dear friend and someone who I consider a mentor and always leave our conversations with countless insights, lessons, and a sense of groundedness and peace. Ladies and gentleman, I'm honoured to share with you my conversation with, Brett Smith. Brett, welcome to the show!
