Paul is an actor, writer, and comedian best known for his role as ‘Appa’ on the CBC hit Kim’s Convenience, for which he earned widespread acclaim and multiple Canadian Screen Awards. A Dora Award–nominated stage performer and Toronto Theatre Critics’ Award winner, he has also gained international recognition for his role as Captain Carson Teva in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka, and more recently as Uncle Iroh in Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender. On Murdoch Mysteries he plays Inspector Albert Choi.
