In a Constitutional Republic, the citizen voters are the stake holders in our Governmental system, which includes electing a Board of Supervisor for each District 1-5, the Sheriff, DA, County Auditor and Recorder, in addition to the many departments, CAO and County Council they appoint and employ to serve us. Every week the Board of Supervisors is given the task to make a multitude of decisions that effect all of our lives, yet citizen engagement is at an all time low. We hope this series will empower you to be informed, speak out and reach out. It is never too late to have a Day 1 of citizen engagement.
