The Gentile Kings are in conflict and Lot is caught in the middle of it. Abram intervenes and rescued Lot. Melchizadek the Gentile King of Peace and priest to the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth.

Abram had a close relationship with God, while Lot had tendencies towards the world. Lot succumbed to the same temptation as Eve - lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.

Genesis 9 - we see the introduction to the third dispensation "Human Government " and the Noahic Covenant. The rainbow is a symbol or remembrance of God's Covenant.

In Genesis 8 God remembers Noah. The flood subsides. The dove returned with an olive branch.
