  • The Logos + the Light
    2026/05/22

What if conception itself was always meant to point us back to the Creator?

In this episode of Painfully Purposed, we walk through John 1 and explore the meaning of “Logos” — the Word, the programming, the divine authorship behind life itself. From the spark that occurs at conception, to the barren wombs throughout Scripture, to the miracle of salvation and new life in Christ, this episode traces the fingerprints of God through both Scripture and creation.

    We discuss:

    • Jesus as the Logos and giver of life

    • The “light of men” in John 1

    • Barren wombs and divine intervention throughout the Bible

    • Spiritual allegory in conception, pregnancy, and birth

    • Identity, value, and being known by God before birth

    • Why your life carries eternal worth

This episode is for the woman in the waiting, the exhausted mother, the grieving heart, and anyone wrestling with their value.

  • Why the Curse?
    2026/05/12

In this episode, we dive into one of the most misunderstood passages in Scripture: Eve’s curse in Genesis 3 and the pain of childbirth. Why would a loving God choose labor pain as part of the consequence of sin? Was it punishment… or something deeper?

Through Scripture, symbolism, and the redemptive story of Christ, we explore the possibility that childbirth itself is a living allegory of salvation, repentance, surrender, and new life in Jesus Christ. From the stages of labor to the groaning of creation, from Eve carrying the lineage of the coming Messiah to Christ’s blood and water poured out at the cross, this episode examines how God may have woven the Gospel into the very experience of birth itself.

What if contractions mirror the painful process of sanctification? What if surrender in labor reflects our surrender before God? And what if the “curse” was never meant to be meaningless suffering, but a holy reminder that through pain, God brings forth new life?

    This conversation tackles:

    • The deeper “why” behind Eve’s curse
    • The connection between labor pains and repentance
    • Marriage and birth as prophetic pictures of salvation
    • Christ’s suffering and the imagery of childbirth
    • Submission, surrender, and sanctification
    • Why God uses pain with purpose

A raw and reflective exploration of Scripture, womanhood, sin, redemption, and the beauty of surrender before the Lord.
