Season 2 is somehow coming to an end (still not sure how that happened), and before we take a break for the rest of the summer, we wanted to have one last conversation that felt fitting for this season.
There is something about summer that makes you want to take stock of your life a little bit. What's working? What's not? What have you been carrying around that you're honestly just tired of carrying?
In this episode, we're talking about some of the things we're leaving behind this summer:
- comparing our lives to everyone else's timelines, relationships, careers, bodies, and prayer lives
- feeling like we have to perform femininity instead of simply living as ourselves
- scarcity mindsets that make us settle, rush, or act out of fear
- giving way too much energy to low-effort men
- overexplaining our boundaries and feeling guilty for disappointing people
Not because we're trying to become completely different people overnight or have some dramatic "new me" summer. Just because sometimes a new season is a good opportunity to be honest about what isn't serving us anymore.
We're also talking about what we hope to make more room for this summer: being more present, enjoying our lives a little more, trusting God a little more deeply, saying yes to things that scare us, and maybe taking ourselves a little less seriously.
Thank you for spending another season with us. Whether you've been here since the beginning or just found us recently, we're so grateful you're here.
As always, we'd love to hear from you. What are you leaving behind this summer? And what are you taking with you instead?
