概要
Starting right now, head to Autry Park for the Rodeo Ready Pop-Up grand opening. This three-weekend shopping experience runs through March seventh, giving you plenty of time to browse Western-inspired fashion, accessories, and gifts while sipping on your favorite drinks. It's the perfect way to prep for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo coming up next week. The pop-up is open from eleven in the morning on Thursdays through Saturdays.
Tonight, if you're into fine art, Laura Rathe Fine Art is hosting an opening reception for Meredith Pardue's stunning collection called Stones That Learned to Breathe. Pardue's large-scale paintings merge the beauty of natural minerals with the quality of breath, creating something truly mesmerizing. The exhibition runs through March twenty-second.
Also this evening, Texas Children's Hospital is presenting Cooking Up a Cure, their eighth annual culinary experience featuring Houston's top chefs and restaurants. You'll get to sample signature dishes from amazing spots like Uchi, Loro, and many others, all while supporting important research in allergy and immunology. This kicks off at six thirty in the evening.
Moving into Friday, you won't want to miss Brooklyn Rider performing Frida's Dreams at DACAMERA. This new multimedia production explores the relationship between Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera through a string quartet and projections of Kahlo's iconic paintings. It starts at seven thirty in the evening.
Saturday is absolutely loaded. Space Center Houston is celebrating Lunar New Year with cultural activities, lion dances, pop-up labs, and even presentations from NASA astronaut Colonel Carl Walz. Starting at ten in the morning, it's a fantastic family-friendly experience. Meanwhile, Karbach Brewing Company is hosting ZiegFest Music Festival featuring Pat Green and Mike Ryan. The festival begins at four in the afternoon with live music, food, and craft beer.
If you're craving something delicious, Zanti Cucina Italiana is throwing a Rodeo Glam Brunch with Western-inspired cocktails and live DJ spinning country favorites. Everything starts at eleven in the morning.
Sunday wraps up the weekend with the Branford Marsalis Quartet performing at DACAMERA at five in the evening. Marsalis is reimagining Keith Jarrett's classic album Belonging in a way that's earned Grammy nominations and DownBeat praise.
