Before you sleep, surrender every worry, burden, unanswered question, and concern about tomorrow into the hands of God. You do not have to carry through the night what you have already given to Him.
The Bible declares:
“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.” — Psalm 4:8 NIV
This night prayer is based on powerful promises from God’s Word:
1 Peter 5:7 — Cast all your anxiety on God because He cares for you.
Philippians 4:7 — God’s peace guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Psalm 121:4 — The God who watches over His people neither slumbers nor sleeps.
Psalm 91:5 — We do not need to fear the terror of night.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 — The Lord is faithful; He strengthens and protects His people.
Proverbs 3:24 — When you lie down, you will not be afraid, and your sleep will be sweet.
Lamentations 3:22–23 — God’s compassion never fails; His mercies are new every morning.
Psalm 23:4 — We fear no evil because God is with us.
As you prepare to sleep, declare with faith:
The Lord is my protector.
I will lie down in peace.
I will not live in fear.
My family is in God’s hands.
My home belongs to Jesus Christ.
The Lord watches over me while I sleep.
God’s peace guards my heart and mind.
My sleep will be peaceful.
Tomorrow is in God’s hands.
I trust the Lord.
Tonight, release your worries. Release your fears. Release the things you cannot control.
You may be sleeping, but God is still watching.
May the Lord protect your home, watch over your family, calm every troubled mind, remove fear and anxiety, and give you peaceful and refreshing sleep.
May you wake up with new mercy, new strength, new grace, and new faith to face another day with Jesus Christ.
Play this prayer before sleep and allow the promises of God’s Word to fill your heart with peace.
