    Tamara Dean is a critically acclaimed photo media artist working in photography, installation and moving image. Her practice explores our connection to nature and rites of passage in contemporary life. She was awarded the 2020 Goulburn Art Prize and she has won the Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize (2019); Josephine Ulrick & Win Schubert Photography Award (2018); Meroogal Women’s Art Prize (2018); and the Olive Cotton Award (2011).

    Dr Kirsten Garner Lyttle is a Māori Australian academic, and creative practice-led researcher (Waka: Tainui; Hapū: Ngāti Tahinga) who has exhibited her work globally. She is the inaugural Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Monash University’s Wominjeka Djeembana Indigenous Research Lab, where her work focuses on the intersection of photography and customary Māori art practices.

    This episode of Out of the Frame: Conversations about Photography features guest artist Hanna Moon talking to host Pia Johnson about their fashion photography, personal projects and being rebellious.

    Hanna Moon is an artist, photographer and creative interlocutor, born in South Korea, and based in London. Her first critically-acclaimed contribution to fashion culture was her launch of A Nice Magazine, created by Moon for her graduation from Central St Martins, London, in 2014. Intentionally working with ideas and subjects outside of the conventions of fashion photography, Moon has defined herself as an important new voice in the field. Moon has featured in publications including i-D, Dazed, AnOther, M le Monde, POP, Dazed & Confused, Re-Edition, Arena Homme+ and British Vogue as well as the visual identities of brands including Hermés, Gucci, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs, Fendi and Supreme.
