Our Miss Brooks, “Mr. Boynton’s Parents” (episode 92), originally broadcast May 14, 1950. In this CBS Mother’s Day-themed comedy, Madison High English teacher Connie Brooks finds herself honored as “Mother Away From Mother” just as Philip Boynton prepares to introduce her to his visiting parents. Eve Arden stars as Connie, with Jeff Chandler as Boynton and Gale Gordon as Principal Osgood Conklin.

As Connie hopes to make the right impression on Boynton’s family, the familiar Madison High circle provides the setting for a warm romantic-comedy episode. The script, written and directed by Al Lewis, reuses the premise of a program first broadcast on May 8, 1949.
