A hacker identifying as John Doe is threatening to release sensitive personal information including names, phone numbers, birthdates, addresses and potentially credit card details unless the energy company meets their demands within 14 days. Origin Energy is collaborating with the Australian Cyber Security Centre and Australian Federal Police to investigate and track the cybercriminal.
