Every knee shall bow. Every tongue shall confess. We love to say that to unbelievers — but look at who Paul is actually writing to.
In this episode, Pastor Randy Johnson continues through Romans 14, pressing deeper into what it means that believers answer to one master and one judge — the Lord Jesus Christ. Not to each other. Not to a church tradition. Not to a set of external rules. To Him alone.
That changes everything about how we relate to other believers who practice their faith differently than we do. The one who observes special days does it in honor of the Lord. The one who doesn't observes every day in honor of the Lord. Both give thanks to God. None of us lives to himself — and none of us dies to himself. We are the Lord's.
Randy also unpacks a truth about Scripture that reframes how you read your Bible — every written Word of God began as a spoken Word of God. The Holy Spirit spoke to the prophets, the prophets wrote it down, and that is how we got Scripture. Not from any institution, but from the Holy Spirit himself.
The episode closes with a word of wisdom Randy's wife gave him early in ministry that stopped him cold — and might do the same for you.
Key Scripture: Romans 14:5-12
