Perspective: Walking Into the Uncomfortable
Loss has a way of stripping away the noise and leaving only the truth of what actually matters.
I recently lost a dear friend—someone who believed in me long before the books or this podcast existed. Her passing shifted my perspective in a hurry. It reminded me that we can’t control who listens or who understands us; we can only control the act of showing up and putting ourselves out there.
In this episode, I talk about:
- Why "trying" is the only way to truly know.
- The danger of standing outside the life you want, looking through the window but too afraid to open the door.
- Finding the courage to walk into uncomfortable places with your head held high.
Somewhere out there is someone who needs to hear what you’re saying—whether it’s in the next hour or the next year. If you find light in what you’re doing, you’ve done something good.
When it’s time to pack it in, I want to know I tried. I hope this episode encourages you to do the same.

What listeners are saying:
“I love your podcasts!” — danee.marsh This came in after the show unexpectedly charted #1 in Gambia. I’m building this podcast slowly, honestly, and one listener at a time.
