Tito starts with the Buckeye men’s 88–80 home loss to No. 13 Illinois: the empty seats at Value City Arena, Bruce Thornton’s 34-point explosion, and the sloppy, unnecessary fouls that helped cost OSU a chance at a statement win. He explains why this team can still be dangerous in March but has to clean up mental mistakes with a brutal Big Ten and non-conference schedule coming (West Virginia in Cleveland, then North Carolina in the CBS Sports Classic).

Then it’s on to Ohio State football, prepping for the New Year’s Eve Cotton Bowl against Miami or Texas A&M. Tito touches on Brian Hartline’s USF trip, why one bad game plan isn’t all on him, and then digs into the kicking game drama after Jaden Fielding’s costly miss and the disturbing social media abuse that followed. With transfer kicker Jackson Courville waiting in the wings, Tito wonders if Ryan Day might turn to him in certain situations – or stick with Fielding down the stretch.

He also reminds fans that in big games, special teams mistakes can end seasons just as quickly as offensive or defensive breakdowns.
