Renate’s spent over a decade researching this, even working in a shelter for trafficking victims, and what she found is grim: 50-80% of these women are controlled by pimps or trafficked, and legalization isn’t fixing it—it’s making it worse.

She tells me what it's like to be raised in the Dutch care system surrounded by abuse and without any family contact. Chiela shares how sex work was the only career path open to her and how she embraced this lifestyle.
