Archimandrite Nicanor is the Abbot of Tsarnogorsky Monastery "Holy Wonderworkers Kosma and Damian" in Bulgaria. He himself has a high regard for Fr. Seraphim Rose, however he has some reservations regarding the ongoing process of his glorification. On this channel we have for a long time been advocates for Fr. Seraphim's formal Glorification, but we are not biased by church politics; we want to hear all sides of the story. For that reason we have brought on Fr. Nicanor to hear a viewpoint that many have not considered. There is nothing wrong with discussing these issues, and in fact we SHOULD talk about them before going through with the process of glorification. Among the objections Fr. Nicanor brings up are the questioned canonical status of ROCOR at the time, how Fr. Seraphim would have viewed the reunification of ROCOR with the MP, and his controversial book on the tollhouses. We end the interview with a discussion of Fr.
