このコンテンツについて

“Duitara” is an audio documentary that takes listeners on a soulful journey into the misty hills of Meghalaya, home to the Khasi people. It explores the deep cultural significance of the Duitara — a four-stringed traditional instrument deeply woven into Khasi culture and identity.

The documentary follows the journey of the Duitara through the voices of a master craftsman and a passionate musician. Blending narration, immersive soundscapes, and storytelling, it explores both the making and the playing of the instrument. Through personal and cultural reflections, Duitara reveals how music and tradition continue to find new meaning in a changing world, keeping alive the rhythm of heritage and identity.
