In this episode of ‘From Failure to Fabulous’ Nikki talks with property management expert Melanie Rouse about the Residential Tenancies Amendment Bill and what it means for both tenants and property landlords. They discuss the pros and cons of the end of 90 day no-cause terminations and what the new legislation is likely to mean for occupancy rates, rents and demand for rentals. They also talk about the impact of the big influx of kiwis returning home, what the slowdown in immigration and overseas students is doing to the rental market as well as how changing tenant expectations are affecting rental property returns.
