On this episode of Speaking Our Mind Podcast we sit down with Ali Sekou, Assistant Mayor (Mayor Pro Tem) and City Councilor for Concord, New Hampshire, as we tackle one of New Hampshire's most pressing challenges—the housing crisis.
From affordable housing and community development to inclusion and public policy, Ali shares his unique perspective as both a public servant and community leader. We discuss the barriers families face, the impact of housing on health and opportunity, and what it will take to create stronger, more inclusive communities across New Hampshire.
Ali's journey is one of resilience and service. After immigrating to the United States in 2012 with limited English, he earned multiple degrees, became a leader in community development, and now serves in numerous organizations dedicated to improving the lives of residents throughout the state.
Ali, also will speak in his native language addressing his people that live in New Hampshire to seek assistance if needed as he is there to help.
