One of the most difficult things we face is how needy we really are, how blind we really are. All the world would love you to shut up and your internal world kind of wants that too. Pride, shame all stand in the way of your being honest with God and others you truly need. Jesus, said it perhaps even more clearly and distinctly in the first and foundational Beatitude in Matthew 5:3

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

To be poor is to be needy, and when you are really, really, really needy then you may finally will be needy out loud. Like your arm was just chopped off needy. The courage of the blind beggars in Luke 18:35-43. It stopped Jesus and…… and they were the only ones in the MULTITUDE that got a God touch that day.
