Moses received the covenant Name of the Most High God at the burning bush as LORD, which translates as “Yahweh,” “Jehovah”, or “I AM,” that Name is eternal. In addition, the LORD is the God of the Hebrews—the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Furthermore, the living Sovereign LORD God is known as Adoni because He is the owner and master of all creation. Even more, the living Sovereign LORD God is God Almighty - El Shaddai because He is all-powerful (omnipotent) and nothing is too hard for God. The LORD is called El-Olam because He reigns from everlasting, and He gives us strength and salvation. Also, the living Sovereign LORD God is El-Roeh because He is omniscient, seeing the needs of His people and caring to respond with help, deliverance, and compassion. Moreover, the God of Israel is Jehovah Jireh or Yahweh-Yireh because He always provides for His people who look to Him in faith and dependence. Even further, the living Sovereign LORD God is the LORD of Hosts—Yahweh Sabaoth —who leads the angelic armies of heaven and fights for and protects His people. Yet He does not leave the guilty unpunished; ….” Exodus 34:5-7
