NC State heads to Auburn as the #3 seed for the third time as a regional site. First up — UCF at 6 PM on ESPN+ Friday. The Knights are 31-21 under third-year head coach Rich Wallace and earned one of six Big 12 at-large bids. Their ace Camden Wicker and senior outfielder DeAmez Ross are names to know. This is a very winnable game for the Pack — and one they have to win to extend Avent's career one more weekend.

Beat UCF and NC State would face the winner of #4 national seed Auburn vs. Milwaukee Saturday. Last year in Auburn, the Pack went 2-2 and lost to the Tigers 11-1 in the regional final. Unfinished business.
