Every nail technician has a story.

Mine started long before I ever held a nail file.

It started with a little girl sitting beside her mum during her pedicure appointments, completely fascinated by every movement, every colour and every tiny detail. I had no idea that years later those same moments would become the foundation of my career.

In this episode, I share the story behind the woman you’ve come to know today.

From discovering the world of nails as a teenager to falling in love with an industry that most people see as “just beauty,” I discovered something much bigger. I realised we don’t simply do nails. We create a space where women feel safe, where conversations become therapy, where confidence is rebuilt one appointment at a time and where self-care becomes much more than a luxury.

But this story isn’t only about my career.

It’s about the day I lost my dad. About learning how to live with grief. About feeling completely alone at times. About starting over more than once. About questioning everything. And somehow, about finding purpose in the one place I never expected, behind a manicure table.

Today, when people ask me why I’m so passionate about this industry, the answer has very little to do with gel polish.

Because nails were never the destination.

They became the bridge that connected me to incredible women, gave me a voice, allowed me to rebuild my life and reminded me that sometimes the smallest acts of care can leave the biggest impact.
