概要

Ever felt like just existing was an act of rebellion?

That's how I felt growing up as a disabled, multiracial 2TIGE guy in the South. From living out of a backpack to being labeled "radical," my journey has been anything but ordinary.

I started "My So-Called Radical Life" podcast to share stories that challenge stereotypes and spark real conversations. It's not just about the struggles—it's about the cool moments, too. Like interacting with Wilson Cruz from "My So-Called Life," a show that gave me a glimpse of representation when I needed it most.

But let's get real. We need to have honest conversations about identity and rights. The fear-mongering around 2TIGE people is misplaced. It's time to shift the narrative and focus on understanding and empathy.

We all deserve to thrive. It's not just about surviving; it's about living our best lives. So, let's breathe, reflect, and engage in conversations that matter.

Join me on this journey. Let's talk pop culture, social justice, and everything in between. Because at the end of the day, we're all just trying to make sense of this radical life.

  • S1E4-Emotional Independence or Neglect and Our Collective Need to Heal From it
    2026/04/12

What if the thing you’ve been calling “strength” was actually something you had to survive?

In this episode, I’m digging into the messy, uncomfortable line between emotional independence and emotional neglect. Because a lot of us didn’t just become independent—we were left to figure it out.

    I’m talking about:

    • What emotional independence actually looks like when it’s healthy
    • How neglect can disguise itself as “maturity” or “resilience”
    • The ways this is showing up now, in our relationships, with society, and through burnout
    • And thinking a loud about what it means to start choosing yourself over antiquated beliefs

This one’s personal. It’s about unlearning survival mode, questioning the narratives we were handed, and figuring out what we actually deserved all along.

If you’ve ever been told “you’re so strong” when you really needed support… this episode is for you.

  • S1E3: My So Called Radical Life - I Thought I Was Too Broken to Be Loved
    2026/04/05

For most of my life, I believed I was unlovable. I didn't just think it, I literally almost had it permanently tattooed on my body.

In this episode, I'm telling my love story. Not the cleaned-up version — the real one. From learning the wrong lessons about love as a kid, to looking for it in all the wrong places, to finding the person I was meant to be with... and then losing her. And spending 15 years trying to get over it.

What came next, from my transition, to survival, finding myself, and somehow finding her again. This is the greatest story I never thought I'd get to tell.

This one's for anyone who's ever been told they were too much, not enough, or too broken to deserve the good stuff. And it's proof that two people who've been through hell can still build something that looks a whole lot like a happily ever after.

You don't have to earn love. You just have to stay alive long enough to receive it.

  • S1E2: My So Called Radical Life | Joy as Resistance (and Why It's So Hard)
    2026/04/03

“Choose joy” isn’t so simple when you’re running on empty. This episode dives into why joy isn’t equally accessible, why the little things matter, and why letting yourself feel good while life is still hard is radical. You don’t have to earn joy, you’re allowed to have it now!
