Not her illness. Not how she died. Her life.
She was kind, intelligent, strong, and full of hope. She cooked for strangers, went to church every Sunday, loved deeply, buried a daughter, raised two children to adulthood, and helped raise many more. She showed up. She made room. She kept going.
Through stories, photos, and memory, I want you to meet the woman who shaped me — the softness I once misunderstood and the strength I finally recognize.
This episode is in honor of my mom, and for anyone who has lost a parent. No matter how old you are, when they die, a part of you goes with them. But they didn’t raise us to quit. They raised us to keep moving forward.
