Host: Alexis Vollant
Alex Vollant is a musician and writer from the Innu First Nation who just completed their Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance at the University of British Columbia. Alex has performed with many ensembles over the past few years, such as the Vancouver Chamber Choir, the Vancouver Youth Choir, as well as musica intima and Chor Leoni Men's Choir.
Alex is passionate about music and writing. Their first poetry collection "Nipinapunan" was published in 2023, and has just been nominated a recipient of the Indigenous Voices Awards
Guest: Brock Tinsley
Brock Tinsley is an Ottawa musician and SHSM-Certified presenter offering seminars for careers in music for Middle, High School and University students. He has given over 150 lectures given across Canada and the United Kingdom. Brock also co-delivers a songwriting workshop and lead workshops for novice-level guitar players.
