Hey all! Welcome to another episode of “Mr. P.’s Tales from the Road!” In this episode, we take a look at the abandoned music halls and ballrooms and theaters that once heralded in a sonic movement of sound that shaped our modern world, and which provided the youth of yesteryear a place to become more than the sum of their parts through shared experiences and sheer energetic magic. This is only part one of the episode, so stay tuned for the continuation, where we head back to my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio for the finale! • Mr. P.'s Tales from the Road - S05E01 - Inspiratio et Memoria - Cleveland's Temple of Lost Love
    2026/01/05

Hey all! Welcome to another episode of “Mr. P.’s Tales from the Road!” And a HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and yours! In this first episode of a new fifth season, I’m diving into what is sort of an obscure topic right here in my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, and expounding on a place that is sadly now long gone (the remnants of which are also being torn down as we speak). A place of artistic inspiration, community togetherness and a spark of Rust Belt ingenuity that gave so many others joy and a little bit of gritty wonderment in a time when things were maybe not at their best. I’m talking here about the TEMPLE OF LOST LOVE, an underground art installation that once existed in the Cleveland Flats along the Cuyahoga River (under a bridge that is ALSO about to become extinct). A little known and interesting topic that I sort of fell down the rabbit hole on, so get yourself a mug of warm hot chocolate, nuke some taquitos in the microwave, settle in wherever you are, listen in and enjoy the show! Have a great week and we’ll see you in the next episode! -Mr. P.

  • Mr. P.'s Tales from the Road - S04E15 - Mr. P.'s Tales from the Road - The Death of Wonder and Mourning What Could Have Been
    2025/11/22

Hey all! Welcome to another episode of “Mr. P.’s Tales from the Road!” In this edition, I expound upon a topic that has been on my mind now for years, but which has come to the forefront in the last many months; the story of how America lost its sense of wonder and how the country that once promised the future stopped believing in it. Not the easiest episode to write and discuss, but one that is close to the heart and experience. That being said, strap in. Fill a stein with a frothy cold brew, warm up some refrigerator leftovers, start driving towards your immediate destination, listen in and enjoy the show! Have a great weekend and we’ll see you in the next episode! -Mr. P.
