  • THE MUPPET SHOW (2026) Review | WASTEMAN Review | WONDERMAN Review | Ep99
    2026/02/19

"Video Killed the Radio Star"... I mean, judging by this attempt at visual podcasting, I don't think they've got anything to worry about. You're safe for now Greg James.

This week the boys talk about Disney's newest attempt at reviving the family institution that is The Muppet Show - penned by Seth Rogan and starring the usual array of fabric reprobates, the lads discuss whether the Muppets are back on form and here to stay, or are they past their prime?

Adam also reviews Disney's newest MCU show Wonderman. A surprising change of pace that I think we can agree is definitely needed.

Adam also got down to his Odeon to catch an early screening of Wasteman, the directorial debut by Cal McCau. Startring Tom Blyth and rising super star and podcast favourite, David Jonsson.

  • THE HOUSEMAID Review | SHELTER Review | 100 NIGHTS OF HERO, PRIMATE and SAIPAN Reviews | Ep98
    2026/02/11

Well, if two is company, three certainly is a crowd. This week the lads were accompanied by Spark Sunderland's film aficionado and host of "Lights, Camera, Action!" Sam J. Clark.

Alfie and Sam review 'The Housemaid', Sydney Sweeney's sultry thriller. Trashy? Yes. Surprisingly engaging? Yes. Hollywood Schlock? Oh, absolutely.

Adam's *Keane* to talk about the footy drama starring Steve Coogan, 'Saipan'.

Adam and Alfie hand the reigns over to Sam for a review of 'Primate' - "the best creature feature... ever?!"

The press embargo has finally lifted for '100 Nights of Hero', so Adam gets into the complex plot and Emerald Fennel-esque cinematography.

As if that wasn't enough - Sam and Adam talk about Jason Statham's (queue impression by Mr Barlow) newest film, 'Shelter'. Does it offer something new, or is it the same old reliable Statham?

Give Sam a follow on Instagram @sam.j_clark and hear his other reviews on @SparkSunderland

This week the lads discuss all the important things in 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, such as Samson's massive appendage, does the skinning scene look fake and "do you think Ralph Fiennes wore a prosthetic". They go into deep SPOILERS on this one, so if you're yet to see the film, perhaps give it a watch before listening to this episode.

Adam also talks about Rental Family the slightly too sentimental new film staring Academy Award winner Brendan Fraser and the hilarious dark comedy from Park Chan-Wook, No Other Choice.
