“On this episode, we’re taking things in a different direction as we get heady with my cohost JuanyB. Numbers. For as long as we've been around, we have used them to measure and quantify things in the world around us. Numbers help us make sense of the reality in which we inhabit. This idea, called “Numericism”, posits that society’s over-reliance on numbers and stats can lead to those same numbers and stats being manipulated and used for ulterior motives. It’s an out-of-the-box concept, and thankfully, JuanyB has it all figured out. In this episode, we’ll begin to unpack what this concept is and its occurrence in many facets of life from government to sports. So join us as we get heady and a little drunk as we explore the depths of my cohost’s mind in a new series we like to call Mooney’s Musings.”
