Hello, friend. I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you're here. You know, it's early Monday morning, and I'm guessing some of you are already feeling that familiar tightness creeping in—that tension that comes from thinking about everything on your plate today. Maybe you woke up with your mind already running, or perhaps you're carrying stress from the weekend. Whatever brought you here, I want you to know that taking these next few minutes for yourself is exactly what you need. This is your permission slip. Let's start by just arriving. Wherever you are right now, plant your feet on the ground. Feel the weight of your body being held. You're safe, you're here, and nothing is urgent for the next few minutes. Now, let's breathe together. Imagine your breath like a gentle tide coming in and going out. Breathe in slowly through your nose for a count of four. Hold it for just a moment. Then exhale through your mouth, letting your shoulders drop. Do that one more time. In through the nose, and out through the mouth like you're releasing a sigh of relief. Wonderful. Here's what we're going to do today. I'm going to guide you through what I call the "softening scan." This is pure relaxation without any fuss. Starting at the crown of your head, I want you to imagine a warm, golden light. This light moves slowly down your forehead, smoothing away any furrows. Feel your face soften. Your jaw, which probably holds so much tension, can release now. Let it go slack if it wants to. That light drifts down your neck and shoulders, melting the knots like butter on warm bread. Keep breathing that easy tide breath. Down through your chest now, warming your heart space, loosening your ribs. Your belly can be soft. There's no need to hold yourself so tightly. The light continues down your spine, each vertebra a stone in a creek, cool and smooth. Through your hips, your thighs, your knees, calves, and all the way into your feet. By now, your entire body is bathed in this warmth. You're heavy and light all at once. Stay here for just a moment, feeling the realness of your relaxation. As you move through your day, remember this feeling. When tension sneaks back in, take three conscious breaths and return to that golden light, even if just for a breath. It's always there waiting for you. Thank you so much for joining me on Relaxation today. If this practice resonated with you, please subscribe so we can journey together again next week.
