But some crucial pieces of the scientific picture are still missing, and Moderna’s newly approved mRNA flu vaccine adds another layer to the debate over how these products are tested, marketed and scrutinized.

Newly declassified FBI records are putting Eric Swalwell’s relationship with Christine “Fang Fang” Fang back under the microscope. The files touch on campaign money, political access, congressional internships and Swalwell’s personal relationship with a woman investigators suspected of working on behalf of Chinese intelligence.

A new study argues that the effects of redlining may still be visible in something as basic as where Americans can buy healthy food. But the research also suggests the familiar “food desert” story may be far more complicated, involving housing, crime, neighborhood stability and decades of economic decisions that reshaped entire communities.
