 Good morning Meridian! What a beautiful spring day we're having here in southern Idaho. According to KIVI-TV, we're looking at mostly sunny skies with a high of 61 degrees and a low of 38 degrees, so grab a light jacket if you're heading out. The good news is we've got a dry spell moving in after weeks of heavy showers, and temperatures are climbing steadily throughout the week. By next weekend, we're expecting to see highs creeping into the 80s, so enjoy this mild weather while it lasts.

Speaking of activity around town, there's plenty happening for our local athletes. Over at Cole Valley Christian High School, the varsity baseball team is hosting a home conference tournament game against Homedale at 5:30 this evening. If you've got sports fans in the family, that's a great way to spend your Monday night. Earlier this week, Mountain View High School's girls varsity softball team took on Capital High School on the 24th, and the school has been hosting track and field events as well. These young athletes have been making the most of our improving weather to get outside and compete.

For those looking for something a bit different, School of Rock Meridian is gearing up for an exciting community event coming up on May 16th at Kleiner Park. They're hosting a spring concert starting at 5:30 in the evening, featuring tributes to classic metal with proceeds benefiting Bikers Against Child Abuse. It's a free, all-ages event, so bring a blanket and settle in on the grass for some great local music and community spirit.

The Boise area continues to buzz with activity, and Meridian remains a vibrant hub right in the heart of it all. Whether you're catching a game, enjoying the sunshine, or planning for upcoming events, there's something for everyone here in our community.
