Welcome to season 3 of the Two Cat Kitchen and we start things off with a bang! We have special musical guests Alpaca Lunch with some great old-time tunes and fascinating insights into the music and life in general. In lieu of a recipe this month we feature culinary excerpts from an interview that was part of the Gathering the Stories of Appalachian Foodways oral history project. Katie Bills, a senior at Berea College, interviewed Mrs. Mildred McFadden about her experiences in the kitchen. The project was supported by the Appalachian College Association Colonel Lee B. Ledford Research Scholarship Award. We hope you enjoy the interview and the great tunes from Alpaca Lunch!
