In the first episode of LIMINAL, I share the extraordinary dream encounter that led me to Hekate.

While working deeply with my grandmother in spirit, I experienced time folding in on itself. I was both a child and the woman I am today, moving beyond words into a space of healing and soul work. As I returned to my body, I heard my grandmother’s voice clearly: “Now work with Hekate.”

I had no idea who Hekate was. And because my grandmother had been deeply Catholic, the message surprised me even more. But when I began learning about this ancient, pre-Olympian goddess, I understood why she had entered my life.

Hekate is the Queen of the Crossroads, guardian of thresholds, keeper of the keys, torchbearer, and guide through profound transformation. She does not choose the road for us. She illuminates what is true, protects the threshold, and reminds us that the power to choose lives within us.

In this episode, I explore Hekate’s ancient origins, her relationship to witchcraft, and why her energy does not feel frightening or dark to me. I believe we are continually choosing between love and fear, and I do my best to move toward love. My relationship with Hekate has become part of that practice: an invitation into discernment, sovereignty, courage, and deeper trust in my own knowing.
