  • Ep. 193: The Strength in Saying “Not Right Now”
    2026/09/02

    Send us Fan Mail

Tomorrow I’m heading into major cervical spine surgery, and somehow, in the week leading up to it, I also found myself trying to buy a townhouse, plan renovations, figure out financing, deal with repairs at my current house…and basically do everything at once. 😵‍💫

Eventually, I had to admit something I don’t always like admitting: this is too much for this season.

In this episode of the Maybe I Can podcast, I’m talking about changing plans, listening to our instincts, knowing when to pause, and recognizing the difference between giving up and simply saying “not now.”

Maybe strength isn’t always pushing through. Sometimes it’s honoring the season we’re actually in.

  • Ep. 192: Why Is It So Hard to Trust Our Own Decisions?
    2026/08/26

    Send us Fan Mail

    I’ve realized I have a habit: I make a decision…and then immediately start questioning it. 😵‍💫

In this episode of the Maybe I Can podcast, I’m talking about second-guessing ourselves, searching for certainty, and what it really means to trust our own decisions.

Maybe self-trust isn’t believing we’ll always make the right choice. Maybe it’s knowing that if we make a mistake, we’ll recover, adapt, and figure out what comes next.

If you’ve ever driven yourself crazy wondering, “Did I make the right decision?” this episode is for you.

  • Ep. 191: When “Someday” Is Keeping You Stuck
    2026/08/19

    Send us Fan Mail

Have you ever found yourself replaying what happened, thinking about what someone else did, or wishing you had made different choices?

I realized this week that I was doing exactly that.

I’ve spent years talking about taking responsibility for my life, but I had to admit that I was missing an important next step: accountability.

In this episode, I talk about the difference between responsibility and accountability, and how blame—even when our feelings are completely valid—can keep us looking backward instead of building our future.

I share what this realization looked like in my own life as I navigate changes in my income, decisions about my home, upcoming surgery, and a lot of uncertainty about what comes next.

But I also talk about something I’ve learned over and over again: accountability doesn’t mean punishing ourselves or having all the answers. Sometimes it simply means taking one small step.

    One phone call.
    One decision.
    One conversation.
    One five-minute action.

I also share my “Maybe I Can” list—a list I keep on my phone of all the difficult things I once thought I would never survive. Looking back at that list reminds me that I’ve done hard things before, and I can do hard things again.

So if you’re feeling stuck, I want you to ask yourself:

“What would accountability look like for me today?”

    Maybe that’s where change begins.

Let’s take that next step together. ❤️

  • Ep. 190: The Invisible Mental Load
    2026/08/12

    Send us Fan Mail

Have you ever walked into a room and completely forgotten why you were there? Or laid in bed mentally running through tomorrow’s to-do list?

I have—and lately, I’ve realized just how much I’ve been trying to keep stored in my head.

Appointments, bills, home repairs, birthdays, car maintenance, work, family responsibilities… it adds up fast. And when everything is competing for attention, it’s exhausting.

In this episode of Maybe I Can, I’m talking about the invisible mental load and why our brains were never meant to be storage systems. I’m also sharing the simple system I’m trying to get things out of my head and into one trusted place.

I’m still figuring it out in real time, so this is more of a “let’s figure it out together” conversation. 😂

I also challenge you to pick ONE area of your life and spend just 20 minutes getting it out of your head and into a system you trust.

Because maybe peace doesn’t come from remembering everything.

Maybe it comes from trusting that you don’t have to.

Have you ever convinced yourself you already know how the story ends?

    I know I have.

In this episode of the Maybe I Can Podcast, I’m sharing key moments in my life when hope shifted—from my father’s stroke, to raising my son, to caring for my husband Gary, and the uncertainty I’m facing now with my health and career.

Hope isn’t about everything working out perfectly. It’s about letting go of the outcome, taking one small step, and leaving room for life to surprise you.

If you’re caregiving, grieving, or just feeling unsure about what’s next, I hope this reminds you: your story isn’t finished yet.

💛 In this episode, we talk about:
    • Why hope changes over time
    • How to stop writing tomorrow’s story too soon
    • The power of one small step
    • Questions to reconnect with hope

  • Ep. 188: The Invisible Rules Holding You Back
    2026/07/29

    Send us Fan Mail

Have you ever found yourself saying, "Maybe next year," or "When life settles down"?

For years, I believed I had to wait until the timing was perfect before I could truly enjoy my life, pursue my dreams, or put myself on the list. What I eventually realized was that I wasn't waiting for better circumstances—I was waiting for permission.

In this episode of the Maybe I Can podcast, I'm sharing the four permission slips that transformed the way I approach caregiving, grief, joy, uncertainty, and personal growth. From taking my first girls' trip at 50 to writing my memoir while my husband was battling terminal cancer, these moments taught me that life doesn't begin after our responsibilities end—it happens right now.

    We'll talk about:

    • Why guilt shouldn't make your decisions
    • How to stop waiting for perfect timing
    • Why you don't need everything figured out before taking the next step
    • The invisible rules that may be keeping you stuck
    • How one small permission slip can change your life

If you've been putting your dreams, happiness, or healing on hold, I hope this conversation encourages you to give yourself permission to begin.

💛 Don't forget to subscribe, leave a comment, and let me know: What do you need to give yourself permission to do today?

  • Ep. 187: A Sprinkle of Compassion
    2026/07/22

    Send us Fan Mail

Sometimes the hardest person to show compassion to is ourselves.

In this episode of the Maybe I Can Podcast, I share how a recent vacation helped me recognize the stories I still tell myself, why I spent years believing love meant fixing everyone else's problems, and how compassion has transformed the way I look at my relationships, grief, caregiving, and even my own inner voice.

We'll explore the three kinds of compassion we all need:
    ❤️ Compassion for ourselves.
❤️ Compassion for the people we love.
❤️ Compassion for people whose experiences are different from our own.

If you've ever struggled with guilt, judgment, caregiving, or feeling responsible for everyone else's happiness, this conversation is for you.

✨ Remember: Compassion isn't about fixing people. It's about choosing understanding over judgment—one small sprinkle at a time.

If this episode resonates with you, I'd love to hear from you. Leave a comment below, subscribe for future episodes, and share this video with someone who could use a little extra compassion today.

When was the last time you asked yourself, "What do I want?"

For years, my identity revolved around caring for everyone else—my family, my business, my loved ones. Somewhere along the way, I stopped paying attention to the things that made me feel alive.

In this episode, I'm sharing the moment I realized I had lost touch with myself, why that happens to so many of us, and how we can begin reconnecting with who we are without waiting for life to finally slow down.

    We'll talk about:
✨ Why we lose our identity
✨ The surprising clues that point us back to ourselves
✨ How caregiving, parenting, retirement, and major life changes shape who we become
✨ Why joy doesn't have to be productive
✨ One small challenge to help you reconnect with yourself this week

If you've ever wondered who you are outside of your responsibilities, I hope this conversation reminds you that it's never too late to come back to yourself.
