In Matthew 17:1–8, Jesus takes Peter, James, and John up a high mountain and is transfigured before them—His face shining like the sun and His clothes becoming white as light—while Moses and Elijah appear speaking with Him. The voice of the Father echoes from the bright cloud, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him,” revealing Jesus as the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets and the true Son of God.
