Perhaps the house has settled, the messages have stopped, and there is finally a little space to breathe. But sometimes the body becomes quiet before the heart does. Perhaps you’re still thinking about what happened today. Perhaps you’re carrying something you haven’t told anyone. Maybe you’re simply tired. Jesus doesn’t ask you to pretend otherwise. Lord Jesus, we come to You tonight just as we are. We bring You the things that have stayed with us through this Monday — the worries, the disappointments, the responsibilities and the thoughts we cannot seem to put down. Be close to people across Romania, South Korea, Botswana, the Netherlands, Zimbabwe and India. Be near to those preparing for sleep, those working through the night, those caring for someone they love, and those who feel alone in a crowded world. Holy Spirit, gently quiet our hearts and turn our attention towards Jesus. The God of Israel has not forgotten us. His presence reaches into our homes, our worries and the places within us that nobody else can see. Jesús, vengo a Ti esta noche. Dame descanso y paz. Jesus, venho a Ti esta noite. Dá-me descanso e paz. Jesus, lumalapit ako sa Iyo ngayong gabi. Bigyan Mo ako ng kapahingahan at kapayapaan. You don’t need to carry this day into your sleep. Place it in the hands of Jesus.
