A bedtime story for curious kids about the tiny, secret world all around us. When night falls over the garden and everything goes still and quiet, where on earth do all the butterflies go to hide themselves away and sleep? That is the question buzzing softly around the minds of Marin and Plume tonight, as they sit together aboard the Boat-Cabin watching the day slowly fade away.
So begins a gentle little investigation, from flower to leaf to single blade of grass, as the two friends tiptoe quietly about to discover just where the very tiniest folk of the garden tuck themselves safely away for the night. And as they search, a soft and sleepy thought begins to settle over them both: perhaps, just like the butterflies, it is very nearly time to fold up your own wings and rest. The whole garden, it seems, is quietly getting ready for bed, each tiny creature finding its own snug little hideaway. They peek beneath leaves and behind petals, careful not to disturb a single sleeping little wing. The longer they search, the more snug little sleepers they find, each one tucked safely away for the night.
Marin learns that the whole garden has its own quiet bedtime, just like he does. Every small creature finds its own safe little corner to curl up in, and going to sleep, it turns out, is simply what the world itself does when night arrives.
This is a wonder-filled discovery story about the miniature world living right under our noses, made for watching nature closely and slipping softly off toward sleep. It is a gentle, drowsy little story that turns watching nature into a soft path toward sleep.
It is the kind of calm, drowsy story that helps a child feel part of something much bigger, settling down for the night along with the whole sleepy garden.
A screen-free audio story for children ages 3 to 5, lovely at bedtime or nap time, at home or in the car. As always with Tilibou, the ending stays soft and quiet, without music, so your child can settle down calmly. 🐳
