For Guru Purnima, the sacred Full Moon of teachers, I want to honor one of the most important teachers in my life: Usva.

Usva is a cat, a mother, a mystic, and a great Spirit Teacher. She came to live with us as a small kitten, at a time when Goddess Angali was strongly present within me. From that day until now, our spirits have remained deeply connected.

Usva has raised five litters with love and has taught me through her presence, her instincts, her silence, and her way of living.

She has taught me how to hunt, how to understand the language of cats, and how to become more cat-like in spirit so I can learn from the world in a different way.

Her kittens have also entered my inner world and revealed their true spirits to me. Through them, the stories and books of the Fable Woods Heroes were born.

The words for this song came one morning while the four kittens of The 4 Heroes of the Fable Woods Valley were playing around my legs. I listened, wrote the words down, and created the song To My Teacher Usva.

Through Usva, I also honor my connection with Goddess Angali, Varahi, and Parvati, whose energies are strongly present in my daily life and spiritual growth.

The Divine teaches us in many ways.

Teachings may come through Goddesses, Gods, planets, nature, animals, life experiences, and the quiet wisdom already living within us.

In this teaching connected with the approaching Guru Purnima Full Moon on 29th July 2026, I share how Divine wisdom has guided me through my own spiritual path and how you can begin opening yourself to that guidance.

The Divine contains both the creative and preserving aspects of energy:

Shiva and Shakti. Vishnu and Lakshmi. Mother and Father. Yin and Yang.

They are not truly separate, but different expressions of the same Universal energy.

The Goddess aspect carries the creative power from which life can be born. The God aspect gives creation its foundation, protection, and space in which to grow.

This same Divine energy lives within you through your body, mind, soul, and the presence of God inside you.

To understand this more deeply, we turn inward.

Through the third eye and midbrain, we can become more receptive to Divine wisdom and allow the Divine to begin teaching us from within.

In this short and effective meditation, we use the sacred mantra OM.

You will be guided to:

✨ Gently focus on your third eye

✨ Bring your awareness into the midbrain

✨ Chant OM so its vibration moves within

✨ Rest in silence and observe its effects

✨ Open yourself to inner wisdom and Divine guidance

The practice includes three rounds of three OM chants, with short periods of stillness between them.

You may simply listen or chant together with me.
