And yet, as God did for Jeremiah, so God does for us. God promises to always be with him and help him every step along the way. We just have to open ourselves up to seeing and acting upon the dream God has for us.

This story, like all others in the beautiful poetry that is the Word reminds us that the hyperlinks and parallels throughout the Bible tell us that God yearns to provide us rest and assurance of calm and safety. Whether in a boat, amongst the wilderness, or in a house. It also reminds us that we; the son of man, wants to push each other out into the fray at every chance that we have, denying ourselves the rest and assurance that God promises us. I pray that you find rest when you need it.
