  • Why Are Boundaries Important In Your Relationships
    2022/12/25

Boundaries are very important for maintaining healthy relationships in our lives. It sets limits and keeps each person from overstepping and entering into another person's personal space. When we set boundaries, it is an act of love that allows us to protect ourselves from being exploited or taken advantage of. When we set and maintain boundaries we create a healthy way of showing and telling people how we would like to be treated and what are the conditions that come with mistreatment or overstepping of any kind. Boundaries not only help keep others in check, but they also help keep us on track when we find ourselves being pulled away from priorities by people who want more control in our lives than they should have. Boundaries help us maintain our own integrity and keep us true to who we are.

  • How Have You Been?
    2022/12/15

I took a step back to reanalyze the purpose and way I wanted to take you with the podcast and the information I bring to you. During this time, I did a lot of self-analyzing and analyzed my environment to figure out all the things that were no longer serving my journey to a higher purpose. I'm recommitted with the intention of being free in bringing new and exciting information to stimulate growth for all my queens.

  • Trauma Bonds
    2022/08/22

Trauma like many mental illnesses is subjective. No two people deal with the effects of trauma the same way. Trauma is a deeply distressing or disturbing experience. Trauma although different for everyone can lead to some of the same mental disorders as PTSD, anxiety, depression etc.

Being a victim of sexual assault, a child to a parent who suffered from DV and other circumstances I have dealt with my own bouts of trauma and the effects that come from it. The symptoms that come from being traumatized can lead to disruption in many different areas of your life, one main area being your relationships.

I had to get deep with myself and realize that a lot of the things I did or the way I reacted was because of trauma. This was where most of my accountability came from, acknowledging where I was lacking and building on that. I still struggle with it every day; some days I'm killing it and others I struggle bad. Regardless of that I know they exist, and I just have to be a little more kind to myself.

Have you ever been in a traumatic situation or know anyone who has? What was your first instinct to dealing with it? Was your first thought to talk about it or react to it?

Tune into me and my guest Peace Morris as we talk about:

    *What is trauma

    *What are triggers

*What are the benefits of therapy and talking to someone about your trauma

    And so much more...
