We’re breaking down the newly reported playoff format being considered for the future of Major League Soccer — including a possible 20-team postseason, play-in games, reseeding and a double-elimination element for the top teams. Nothing has been finalized yet, but if this proposal moves forward, it would be another major change to how MLS determines its champion.
