What if Psalm 119 isn't really a love letter to rules at all?What if it is a love letter to the voice of God?This week we explore one of the longest and most misunderstood chapters in Scripture and discover that the Psalmist isn't celebrating cold religion or legalism. Instead, he is celebrating the wisdom, instruction, testimony, promises, and voice of Yahweh.Throughout Psalm 119, eight different words are used to describe God's guidance for His people. Torah, testimonies, precepts, statutes, commands, judgments, word, and promises all paint a bigger picture of a God who desires to speak, lead, teach, and walk with His people.Jesus tells us in John 10 that His sheep know His voice and follow Him because they recognize the One who calls them by name.
