Dennis Eversen, titled "Lord if it is you bid me to come!", provides a deep look into what he calls "classical Christianity."
Originally recorded in Oden, Missouri, in October 1997, the message was recently recovered from a VHS tape and shared by AMG Broadcasting (Acts Media Group).
The message is structured into two primary sections that challenge modern religious norms:
The Offensive Gospel: Eversen argues that the true Gospel naturally offends the world and sin. He warns against "modern Christianity" which he claims tries to broaden the "narrow road" to avoid controversy.
A "Very Life" Relationship: Drawing from Colossians, he emphasizes that Christ should not just be a guest in a believer's life but their "very life".
Victory Now: He encourages believers to seek victory over sin and depression in the present, rather than waiting for the afterlife.
The Threefold Anointing: He describes the call for every believer to function as:
Prophet: Speaking God's words.
Priest: Interceding for others.
King: Ruling over personal sin and leading through service.
Holy Spirit Empowerment: He points to the baptism of the Holy Spirit as essential for being a witness in the "last days".
Shining in Darkness: Eversen concludes with a call to be "set on fire" for God to counter the spiritual darkness of the current age.
