概要
What happens when a child has something to say but no way to say it?
In this episode of Infinite Halls, Arcadia speaks with Mary, a lawyer, HR leader, and mother whose nonverbal autistic son, Alex, found his voice through technology. What began as an iPad became a lifeline—an AAC communication device that allowed Alex to express his thoughts, needs, and feelings for the first time.
Mary shares the powerful moment that pushed her from frustration to advocacy after Alex was publicly humiliated when denied access to a bathroom. That experience led her to create the Talos Foundation, an organization raising awareness of invisible disabilities and supporting neurodivergent individuals through advocacy, communication tools, and employment initiatives.
This is a story about dignity, communication, and how technology can unlock voices the world hasn’t yet learned to hear.
