Have you ever felt guilty for saying no?

Am I being selfish for setting a boundary?

Does forgiveness mean I have to keep allowing someone to hurt me?

Does honoring my parents mean they always get access to my life?

Does being a good Christian mean I can't disappoint anyone?

Many Christians struggle with boundaries because they swing between two extremes: people-pleasing with no boundaries or building walls and cutting people off.

But biblical boundaries offer a different way.

In this episode, we explore how Jesus modeled love without people-pleasing, compassion without taking responsibility for everyone, forgiveness without ignoring wisdom, truth without cruelty, and rest without guilt.

We look at biblical boundaries in:

Family relationships

Friendships

Marriage

The workplace

Parenting

Church and ministry

Our relationship with God

The goal of boundaries is not to keep everyone out or protect ourselves from every uncomfortable experience. The goal is to love people well with a free heart and without resentment.

Jesus was the most loving person who ever lived, but He had clear limits. He withdrew to pray. He said no. He did not answer every accusation. He disappointed people's expectations. He did not allow other people's needs to determine His assignment.

So the question isn't simply, “Do I have boundaries or do I love people?”

The better question is:

Are my boundaries helping me love God and people more faithfully?

Is meditation biblical?

Many people today meditate by emptying their minds, repeating mantras, connecting with “the universe,” awakening their “higher self,” or looking within themselves for truth. But the Bible also talks about meditation, so what is the difference?

In this episode, we compare biblical meditation and New Age meditation and explore the foundational question: What are you meditating on, and where are you looking for truth?

New Age spirituality often turns inward to find identity, power, truth, and enlightenment. Biblical meditation turns our attention toward God, His Word, His character, and His truth.
