• 472. Critical Conversation Skills To Teach Your Homeschooler
    2026/07/27

One skill that can easily be overlooked as we raise our children is how they can conversate and relate to other people. Interpersonal skills are greatly underrated, yet we know as homeschool parents how it can help or hinder a young person.

What if homeschoolers were the ones that showed their peers what it was like to have a thoughtful conversation with other people?

They can be and I don't think we should wait around for others to figure out how to begin and hold a conversation. Let's include this is in our homeschool so that our children, tweens, and teens can feel confident walking into any situation.

Grab a pen and paper to jot down some ideas and then you're off and running with your assignment!

  • 471. Don't Sleep On This: Teach Your Homeschooler Logic (My Favorite Resources!)
    2026/07/23

To be honest, I was a little behind the 8 ball on teaching logic to my homeschoolers. If I must confess, I will tell you that I didn't even know about this subject, until...I did! And then, we jumped straight into it and it became a staple of their home education.

But that included me using a handful of resources and muddling through the process without having a clear vision.

Today's episode will be exposing our ups and downs to teaching logic in our homeschool and I'm laying out the plan I would use if I had a do-over.

My mess-ups are all for your benefit!

  • 470. What Is AI's Role In Your Christian Homeschool?
    2026/07/20

I think this will go down as one of the big questions of the decade. Many in our culture are discussing and debating artificial intelligence (AI), but let's specifically narrow it down to our Christian home and education.

To be honest, my thoughts have changed on AI, as well as my ability to see various sides.

Is it as nefarious as some say? As innocent as the creators purport it to be?

    Or somewhere in the middle?

Let's talk about it and then make intentional decisions in our homeschool.

  • 469. Let Your Homeschool Child Earn Their Education
    2026/07/16

I'm not knocking the homeschool curriculum. Actually, I am a fan of it. But something is very easily lost when we have quick and easy access {and guidance} to teach our homeschoolers.

What if there is something to them earning their education?

No, they don't need to pay for it in dollars and cents.

Recently, I came across a video that had nothing to do with homeschooling, but it really got me thinking about the importance of something in educating children.

Give this episode a listen and let me know what you think!

  • 468. Looking For The Easy Button For Homeschool? Do This Instead
    2026/07/13

Homeschool is hard work. There is no way around some of the rough seasons, subjects, and relationships. And when those times come, we can shift our focus off the hard and start searching for an easy way out.

And it's not only when homeschooling feels hard. This can even happen in general as the day in and day out can feel overwhelming.

Sometimes, the easy way out isn't always the best. Going straight through the middle to the other side can feel difficult at the time and I want to share things for you to do instead of spending time looking for the "easy button."

I promise the effort through will be worth it.

  • 467. My Thoughts On Dating As A Homeschool Mom With Young Adults
    2026/07/09

Every single family approaches the topic of dating differently. There may be some overlap, but every family is unique, so there will always be some variability.

Even for my family, there has been a progression and changes throughout the years. And it's finally time to share our story and perspective on dating.

My goal is not to sway you to our way of doing this, but rather to share our story and give you some ideas. Ultimately, it's you and your husband listening to the Holy Spirit as you establish boundaries and terms. This isn't a my way vs. your way argument. I personally think it's more beneficial to listen and learn from others and then be true to your family's dating process.

Give this episode a listen and reach out with any questions!

  • 466. What My Homeschool Graduate Said At His Ceremony That Surprised Me: And How Others Felt About It
    2026/07/06

For many of the years of parenting and homeschooling, we wonder if what we're doing will make an impact on our children. We mull over what they will take away from these years.

Recently, I got a peek into something about the homeschool years that surprised me. Not only did he tell me, but he spoke it publicly to all of those who attended his back yard homeschool graduation ceremony.

What he said surprised me and there was a reaction from some of those in attendance and I am going to give you a glimpse into that in today's episode.

My hope is that it gives you the encouragement that your heart may need today.

    2026/07/02

You remember the day that your tiny baby boy lay nestled in your arms for the first time. And as he grew, so did your relationship. The two of you are buddies and he adores you.

The {not so funny} thing about little boys is that they grow up. And before we know it, they're the size of grown men and we wonder how we fit into the world now.

It wasn't long ago that I struggled with what my relationship would look like with my boys as they hit the teen years and beyond. And I have heard from many of you who have the same concerns.

Today's episode will place you into my shoes and I'll share a little bit of what I have learned through trial and error in hopes that it settles your anxious heart.
